Our Mennonite neighbors have been to Good Friday services this morning. I believe they reserve this day for worship and meditation and don't do any work except for the care that is essential for their animals.
Isn't is comforting to know that we live in a country where a relgious faith can choose such a life--horses and carriages, no wires to the outside world?
These pictures also remind me of a time when my husband and I were travelling through Amish country in PA. Our dog at the time could not keep himself from barking at the carriage horses as we drove past. Luckily those horses don't spook at much!
