Prolonged Rainfall Event This Weekend

Life in Christian County, Kentucky...

From the National Weather Service:

..FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...
... A PROLONGED RAINFALL EVENT IS EXPECTED FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY... FOLLOWED BY A BETTER CHANCE OF HEAVY RAIN ON SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY...

And our forecast, according to Weather Underground for Hopkinsville, KY

Friday: Rain showers, 80% chance of precipitation

Saturday: Chance of thunderstorms, 90% chance of precipitation

Sunday: Chance of thunderstorms, 70% chance of precipitation

At least the temperatures are supposed to stay above freezing. Farther north, freezing rain and snow is expected.

The ground here is so muddy already that I hate to think what it will be like after three days of rain. I would love to give this rain to any drought-stricken area.
