June's Last Sunset

Orange and purple

We've had some wonderfully cool weather for a few days. Last night, the temperatures were in the upper 50s. We slept with the windows open, and I actually got cold enough to pull the blanket over me.

The temperatures are supposed to be a little higher today, but just in the 80s. In fact, we are supposed to stay in the 80s for the next week. I'm sure this won't last, but for now, I'm loving it.

Interesting that you had such a pretty sunset last night...I went out back with my camera for the sunset at at my house it was clear! Not a cloud in the sky...

I took this picture when it was almost dark -- about 8:45 or maybe even later. I was surprised to see such a dramatic sunset, too. I didn't notice many clouds when I was driving home from Greenville yesterday evening. Then, I stopped at a neighbor's house for about an hour, and when I came out, this sunset was conducting its grand finale.
