Not a Pretty Picture

Drought-damaged corn

Here's a cornfield that I pass nearly every day. The leaves of the corn plants are rolled up tight to try to conserve moisture. We had a little shower today, and we're thankful for it, but I don't think it will do much for these plants.

I hate to see corn suffer this way.

I do, too. Most farms here don't have the water resources to make irrigation possible. Once in a while, you'll see a sprinkler pulling water from a pond and spraying it on a field.
