Life in Christian County, Kentucky...
These are Kroger's prices for gasoline yesterday in Hopkinsville. The price I paid, $12.79 for 6.917 gallons of gasoline, includes a Kroger card discount of 3¢ per gallon which reduced the price per gallon to $1.84. Since these prices are the lowest they've been for a while, I thought I'd document them.

hello :) thanks for visiting my little blog!
on a side note, these prices ARE incredibly low! Of course I remember that it wasn't that long ago that gas was less than $1! sigh
Ah, yes, I do remember those days, myself. I also remember the first time I paid $2.00/gallon for gasoline, and it wasn't that many years back. Now I'm happy to pay $2.00 for a gallon of gas.
And thank you for visiting too, L.
That amount of gas over her would cost you $43.42! When I first arrived in the U.S. you could still get a gallon of gas for 99c. So the price has doubled in a little under fifteen years. I'm not sure if that is good or bad.
Yes, it has about doubled since we've been in Kentucky. We came here in the fall of 1991, so that was 15 years ago this fall.
The prices you are citing would certainly be an incentive to use public transporation. But of course, we don't have much public transportation here other than the school bus.
