Packard Clipper Deluxe

History and Old Stuff...

I saw this old Packard today while I was waiting for Isaac to take his driver's license test -- which he passed, by the way, so he's now a licensed driver and probably wouldn't say "No" to a nice old car like this...

My dad had a dark green 1948 Packard when I was a kid. It looked like an overgrown VW Beetle. He never maintained his cars though, usually just driving them until they quit (which was a topic of much conflict between us). I remember the sad day the junkman drove it away. I still have one of the hubcaps.

Hi, Arnie. Thanks for your comment. Do you have any idea what year this Packard might be?

I don't know much about Packards, except in the early times, circa 1930, they were very fashionanle and driven by the likes of Clark Gable and Jean Harlow. This one has to mid-Fifties though. It looks similar in design to the 1955 Plymouths or the 1955 Chevies. No earlier than 1954 and no later than 1956. That's my educated guess.
