Life in Christian County, Kentucky...
Hopkinsville's old Winn Dixie store is being torn down, and a Rite Aid Pharmacy will be built there instead (at the intersection of Country Club Lane and Ft. Campbell Blvd.)
I'm a little surprised they tore down a building that seemed perfectly adequate and in decent condition. They'd rather start with a building that is built to their purpose and specs, I guess. I understand the advantages of that, but it sure makes a lot of construction rubble to be dealt with.

If this seems like an earlier post I do apologise, but I posted once and it seems to have disappeared. What I said was; I am coming to your fair town at the end of this month, so if you could have a word with the powers that be, to make sure that no more of the town disappears before I get there, I would be grateful. :-)
That's wonderful, Limey! If you get a chance, give us a call. (I will send you our number.)
You will probably be surprised at the growth on the south side of town towards Fort Campbell and also along the Bypass between Fort Campbell Blvd. and Highway 68/80 West. I don't know when you were last here, so you may not even know what I mean by the Bypass.
Other than that, most things are about the same. :)
Do you mean the part of the bypass that runs by Lowes (or is it home depot)?
Yes, that's the one. You're not too far behind the times if you know about Lowes. :) I've posted a road sign to help you remember your way around. :D
