CONTENTMENT: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry, live simply, expect little, give much, sing often, pray always, forget self, think of others and their feelings, fill your heart with love, scatter sunshine. These are the tried links in the golden chain of contentment.

Very true, Genevieve - such a lovely photo. Sometimes the most beautiful things are right in front of us and we just don't see them...
Moments in time... I wish I'd taken this photo!

Usually, it's dry here from July to October, but we've had fairly regular rains this year. I think that's why all the grasses on the roadsides this year have such lush, heavy, colorful heads. I wish I knew grasses better so I could identify this one for y'all. I call it "foxtail", but I don't know if that's correct!
We have some very tall decorative grass (6'+) that just developed it's purple flag like tassels in the first week of October. This seemed to be in a bit of delay from last years splendor which I wrap in bundles to stand tall for the Winter's winds. I cut 4" stubs in the Spring and the pre-tied decoration go out with the next weekly pick-up. :)ken
I would love to get a tall decorative grass to plant on the west side of our shed (a hot dry area.) I need to do some research this winter so I can be ready to start it next spring. Do you know what type of grass you have?
