Ten Nice Things About Autumn

Life in Christian County, Kentucky...

These are listed in no particular order.

  • Putting another blanket on the bed
  • Geese honking as they fly over in V formation
  • Sitting near the band at high school football games
  • Getting back that hour when DST ends.
  • Firing up the woodstove the first time
  • Sweatshirts and sweaters
  • Playing in the leaf pile with the cat
  • Pumpkin pie, apple cider, and candy corn
  • Fall break from school (next week!)
  • Putting away the lawn mowers

What are your favorite things about the season?

Bring in as many Autumn rose buds as you find... they are different and very special. Tha last rose of Summer hold tightly to it's presentation and lasts much longer than it's Spring and Summer sisters.

I'd like to do ten, to take up your challange yet it is now to late and tomorrow might be a better time?

Thanks for all your splended pen efforts, sincerely___ Ken

I would add the monarch butterfly migration to the fall favorites list. I like sleeping with the windows open, and being able to make baked casseroles, potatoes, meatloaf, real homemade Chex mix, and maybe even peanut butter cookies.
