Life in Christian County, Kentucky...
I was walking from my car to the front door of Walgreen Drugs a couple of weeks ago when I saw the above book lying on the bench. When I looked inside the front cover, I found a label directing the finder to BookCrossing.com. When I entered the book's ID number, I found that a lady in Hopkinsville had bought it at a garage sale and "released" it as part of the "Arthritis Walk - You Can Make a Difference Challenge." I added a few lines to the book's history about where I found it and what I plan to do with it.
It's an interesting idea. I could probably round up a few books around here to "release".

That's interesting. I've never heard of anything like that before.
I have quite a few I should do that with.
I like BookCrossing so much I started a OBCZ (Official Book Crossing Zone where I work.

I gave the book to my daughter to read. She took it back to the college town where she lives. To my surprise, she was familiar with the whole program. Their public library has a "Book Crossing" shelf.
I am totally addicted to bookcrossing. I have 7 boxes of books in my parents' basement (as I am a world vagabond and have no permanent address) and yet I continue to buy more books! My friends an family think I'm nuts, but I always rationalize that I can just release them through bookcrossing. I love "wild releasing!"
