CONTENTMENT: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry, live simply, expect little, give much, sing often, pray always, forget self, think of others and their feelings, fill your heart with love, scatter sunshine. These are the tried links in the golden chain of contentment.

IT IS STILL BEST to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasure; and to be cheerful and have courage when things go wrong.
(Laura Ingalls Wilder, 1867-1957)
Thanks for reading.

Nice photo Genevieve! Do you ever get much chance to talk to the Mennonite and Amish folks?
Also was wondering about the Amish--think you mentioned there were New Order Amish, and wasn't sure if you said there were Old Order as well--also do you know if there are any from the Swartzentruber or related groups?
I talk to my Mennonite neighbors frequently. One family lives about 1/4 mile down the road from us, and the other's barns are just a few hundred yards across our back fence.
I don't know enough about the Amish to tell you what particular groups they are from, except that they seem to fall into the more modern tractor-driving New Order, and the extremely, severely plain-dressed Old Order.
