Exuberant Clematis

More About Trees and Plants...

Clematis in flower

My clematis was blooming exuberantly a few days ago. I am afraid it was frosted last night.

I don't give it much care, but it still looks beautiful every spring. I do have some rocks piled around its base to shade its roots, which is supposed to be one of this plant's important requirements. It really needs a bigger trellis.

I don't know the name of this cultivar. I got it at our local Mennonite greenhouse.
