CONTENTMENT: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry, live simply, expect little, give much, sing often, pray always, forget self, think of others and their feelings, fill your heart with love, scatter sunshine. These are the tried links in the golden chain of contentment.

Colours of life.
Really captures the mood.

It was gray and almost foggy in places when I was taking these photos, but later the sun came out and the sky was blue and the temperature was comfortable -- not too hot! There was a hint of autumn about the whole day.
Smoke in the barns, is that the tobacco barn?
It is a tobacco barn, and it's one of hundreds in the county right now that are being used to fire the dark tobacco. The farmers lay sawdust and hardwood slabs in trenches in the floor and let them smolder in the tightly closed barn. The smoke colors and flavors the leaf.
